Artwork by EPCHS Students On Display at Evergreen Park Public Library

EVERGREEN PARK, IL - Artwork from students at Evergreen Park Community High School will be on display at the Evergreen Park Public Library through the end of November.

The exhibit is part of EPCHS' "Inktober" project, a yearly endeavor headed by art teacher Libby McArthur. The worldwide Inktober challenge was created in 2009 and gives art students a reason to create 31 drawings in 31 days during the month of October.

A student art show and reception held at the library on Nov. 8 drew more than 50 attendees, McArthur said. McArthur herself is a regular participant in Inktober and has works on display at the library as well.

"I am really excited to be showing both mine and my students' works at the EP Library!," she said. "Having the ability to share my passion with a community I love means the world to me.

"Art, especially Inktober, is something anyone can do if they have the heart and the determination to pursue it. It is truly an extremely rewarding experience and month!"
