AP Scholars Recognized at Evergreen Park Community High School
Mr. Matt Dugan, principal at Evergreen Park Community High School is pleased to announce that 31 current students and 2023 graduates earned AP Scholar recognition by The College Board. In addition to the 31 AP Scholars, an additional 92 students can potentially earn college credit for receiving at least one 3 or higher on an AP exam. The College Board’s Advanced Placement Program offers students the opportunity to take college-level courses while still in high school, and to receive college credit, advanced placement, or both for successful performance on AP exams. The College Board honors outstanding performances on AP exams with several levels of recognition. The following students received recognition as AP Scholars.
Students who received scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams (AP Scholars) are 2023 graduates Julianna Black, Audrey Bobel, Leo Cassidy, Olivia Doran, Brendan Farrell, Jamia Head, Kaitlyn Higgins, Abigail Rech, Kennedy Shelby; current seniors Nathan Brannigan, Maya Rayson, Jack VonBank, Amelia Woody; current juniors Maximillian Castillo, Aliah Diaz, Benjamin Long, and Xalani Mitchell.
Students who received an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more on those exams (AP Scholar with Honor) are 2023 graduates Katharine Downey-McGurk, David Ortiz; and current seniors Owen Doogan, Skyeleigh Godowic, Michael Joyce, and Taylor Yeaman.
The students who received an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more on these exams (AP Scholar with Distinction) is 2023 graduates Kailen Curran, Jacqueline Jones, Helen Joyce; and current seniors Theresa Brady, Matthew Dever, Dulce Medina, Kai Odom, and Rachel Thomas.
