EVERGREEN PARK, IL – The 12th annual National Honor Society Talent Show held at Evergreen Park Community High School was a resounding success.
Thirteen student acts were performed, propelling the droves of audience members on their feet, all while raising nearly $1,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the charity NHS members voted to donate all proceeds.
NHS members chose the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in part because there is an EPCHS student and NHS member whose sister is currently receiving treatment for Lymphoma. The donation from the Talent Show will be made in the student’s name.
Talent Show acts included a Mexican Folkloric Ballet, dancing, rapping, singing, the school’s Unaccompanied Minors a cappella group and the members of the Rock Band class at EPCHS who displayed what they have learned in choir and band courses at EPCHS.
The NHS would like to especially thank Mrs. Amy Kazin and Mr. Ken Kazin for their production assistance, the faculty and administration for their support, and, most importantly, the families and friends who attended the show and cheered on the amazing Mustangs on the stage.
Talent Show night at EPCHS is one the brightest nights in a calendar full of great events during a typical school year at Evergreen Park Community High School.
