Bowling Alley Set to Open at EPCHS Sports Complex

An 8-lane bowling alley, the first to open in Evergreen Park in over a decade, is expected to be completed at the EPCHS Sports Complex in 2026.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Evergreen Park residents can get ready to lace up their bowling shoes and enjoy a brand-new state-of-the-art amenity right here in the village. Plans for a new 8-lane bowling alley to be added to the EPCHS Sports Complex have been approved by the Evergreen Park Community High School District 231 Board of Education.

The new bowling alley, slated to take shape on the footprint of the existing fitness center at the EPCHS Sports Complex, 2700 W. 91st St., will be used by Evergreen Park Community High School programs and be open to the community.

Construction is expected to begin on this exciting project at the beginning of the new year, with an anticipated completion date in August 2026. Included in the project will be a new fitness center that will be located in the space that occupies the existing locker rooms at the EPCHS Sports Complex.

“We’re thrilled to bring bowling back to Evergreen Park and provide our students and community with a new, state-of-the-art facility right here in our Sports Complex,” said Mary Zofkie, Board President of Evergreen Park Community High School District 231.

“The addition of the bowling alley to our Sports Complex not only supports our athletic programs but also honors a tradition that has long been part of Evergreen Park’s history. With the closing of Bleeker’s, we saw an opportunity to create something special that connects our school and community through recreation, competition, and Mustang pride.”
