1976 Qualified for USA Olympic trials at University of Chicago Holiday Meet at 7'2"
1974-79 Volunteer coach for track athletes at the University of Illinois, Chicago campus
2018-2022- Volunteer coach for EPCHS track team jumpers

After a 35-year layoff, he began jumping and competing once again and is currently ranked #1 indoors in the World and #1 in the NCCMA and the USA
