• Graduate, EPCHS Class of 1967
• Highly successful business career assuming the President & CEO role 3 times from 1985-2009 (Sara Lee Coffee Division, Grecian Delight Foods and Javo Beverages)
• 2008–2016 – Founder, President & CEO of Greek American Restaurant Cooperative
• Served on the Boards of Directors for the following organizations: Lathrop Boys & Girls Club (1979-1983); Chicago Special Children’s Charities (1983-2004); Chairman of the National Coffee Association (1990-1992); Director (1987-1999)
• Chairman of the Board for the Downers Grove Police & Fire Commission (1985-1999)
• 1995 – Chicago Special Children’s Charities created the Stanley L. Greanias Scholarship which is awarded annually to a UIC student pursuing a degree in Special Education
• 1999 – Sara Lee Corporation awarded Stan the first Sara Lee Shareholder Value Builder award for his many contributions towards growth and profitability in their Coffee Division. This is the highest award a senior executive can receive
. • 2001- Elected into the UIC School of Business Hall of Fame in recognition of his outstanding business career.
