• Dr. Jenkins is a consultant in Laboratory medicine, with secondary appointments in experimental biology, medical genetics, tumor biology, biochemistry and molecular biology and molecular neurosciences.
• Dr. Jenkins serves as co-director of Mayo Clinic Clinical Cytogenetics Laboratory.
• Dr. Jenkins is credited with a discovery and patent of a genetic alteration that is associated with a specific type of brain tumor
• He Co-invented a diagnostic test for bladder cancer
• He is internationally known for his research and discoveries in prostate and urologic cancers
• Presently Dr. Jenkins is a Professor, Mayo Clinic
