Jennifer Welch

• Graduate, EPCHS Class of 1986

• Earned B.A. from University of Illinois Chicago, 1990 and J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law, 1994 • From 1994 – 2003 Jennifer was the Executive Director for Chicago Metropolitan Battered Women’s Network

• From 2003 – 2010 Jennifer was the Policy Advisor to the Attorney General of the State of Illinois. Her work in the Attorney General’s Office help re-write the criminal stalking law and create the stalking no contact order

• Presently Jennifer is the Deputy Commissioner for the Chicago Department of Family and Support Services

 • She is a Founding Member, Illinois Clemency Project for Battered Women for her work as an advocate for Battered Women, Jennifer has been named the “Activist of the Year” by the National Organization of Women, Chicago Chapter
