AXA Achievement Scholarship

Deadline: until 10,000 application are submitted or December 14, 2018

 For: High school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their activities in school, the community or the workplace.

Scholarship amounts: Ranging from $1,000 up to $25,000

The Golden Apple Scholars of Illinois

Deadline: December 1, 2018

For: High school seniors who are interested in teaching profession.  Scholars must agree to

teach for five years in a designated low-income or low-performing Illinois school.

Award amount: $23,000

Horatio Alger Illinois Scholarship Program

Deadline: January 19, 2019

For: High school seniors in Illinois who have demonstrated effective, voluntary, long-term dedication to the preservation, protection, enhancement and/or promotion of Illinois' natural resources.

Award amount: $2,000

The National Co-Op Scholarship Program

Deadline: February 15, 2019

For: High school seniors with a GPA of 3.5 or better who have been accepted and are planning to attend one of the WACE Partner College and Universities. Those institutions are: Clarkson University, Drexel University, Johnson & Wales University, Merrimack College, Rochester Institute of Technology, State University of New York-Oswego, University of Toledo, University of Cincinnati, and Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Award amount: $4,200

Great Clips Scholarship Program

Deadline: March 2019   

For: High school seniors who will be attending Cosmetology school after graduation from high school

Greenhouse Scholars

Deadline: December 17, 2018

For: high school senior planning to attend a four-year accredited academic institution, with a unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above, demonstrates financial need (annual household income no greater than $70,000), and possess excellent leadership skills, an ability to persevere through difficult circumstances, and a strong interest in and commitment to their community

Award amount: up to $5,000 per year, for 4 years

AvaCare Medical Scholarship

Deadline: December 15, 2018

For: High school seniors with a minimum 3.0 GPA who are pursuing a degree in the medical field.  This scholarship is awarded annually to one submission that tells about an inspiring act of kindness.

Medical Scrubs Collection Scholarship

Deadline: December 15, 2018

For: High school seniors with a minimum 3.0 GPA who are pursuing a degree in the medical field such as therapy, nursing, medicine, nutrition, laboratory science, dentistry, etc.

Burger King Scholars Award

Deadline: Either when 50,000 applications have been submitted or December 15, 2018

For: High school seniors who have a GPA 2.5 or higher, and must work part-time an average of 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year.

Dr. Juan Andrade Scholarship for Hispanic Leaders

Deadline: November 30, 2018

For:  High school seniors of Hispanic descent with potential to become leaders in society and business and enroll in a 2 or 4 year undergraduate program.

Award amount: $1,000 annually for students attending a four-year college, $500 for students attending two-year schools.

For: High school students.   Awards deserving students with scholarships for their ideas to help Denny's efforts to fight childhood hunger.

For:  High School seniors with a minimum 2.5 GPA.  Sparkling Ice is looking for fun and unique candidates who are not afraid to be themselves.

Paramount Tall Club of Chicago Scholarship

Deadline: February 11, 2019

For:  High School seniors who will be attending a 2 or 4 year college in the fall of 2019 and meet the height requirement.  The minimum height requirements are 5’10” for females and 6’2” for males.

For: Students that are 18 years or older that have an interest in Photography.

Bachus & Schanker Scholarship

Deadline: November 30, 2018

For: High school seniors with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.  Applicants will write an essay of no fewer than 800 words about their opinion on the importance and efficacy of the 7th Amendment and how it affects their life.

National Space Club Keynote Scholar Award

Deadline: November 30, 2018

For: High school students planning to major in a STEM field & must deliver a speech on the topic of space travel and/or space exploration.

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholars Program

Deadline: January 4, 2019

For: High school seniors with at least a 3.0 GPA who demonstrate leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship at school, in the workplace, and within their community.

The John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award

For: High school students who are nominated by a teacher will have to submit a 1,000 word essay on the courage of an elected US official.
