AXA Achievement Scholarship

 For: High school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their activities in school, the community or the workplace.

The Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship

Deadline: October 30, 2020

For: High school seniors who have worked as caddies for at least two years at a sponsoring club.   Must have maintained above a B average in college prep coursework.

Coca-Cola Scholars Program

Deadline: October 31, 2020

For: The Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to graduating high school seniors.  Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities.

Scholarship amount: $20,000

Ron Brown Scholar Program

Deadline: January 9, 2021

For: African-American high school seniors who excel academically, who exhibit exceptional leadership potential, and participate in community service activities.   

Award amount: Scholars are awarded $40,000 ($10,000 per year for academic expenses)

The Golden Apple Scholars of Illinois

Priority Deadline: December 15, 2020                      Final Deadline: April 1, 2021

For: High school seniors who are interested in teaching profession.  Scholars must agree to

teach for five years in a designated low-income or low-performing Illinois school.

Award amount: up to $23,000

Horatio Alger National, State, & Career/Technical Scholarship Programs

Deadline: October 25, 2020

For: High school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives.  The Horatio Alger Association seeks students who have exhibited determination, integrity, and perseverance in overcoming adversity, as well as have critical financial need.

Award amount: Various amounts for their multiple scholarships up to $25,000

Greenhouse Scholars

Deadline: November 1, 2020

For: high school senior planning to attend a four-year accredited academic institution, with a unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above, demonstrates financial need (annual household income no greater than $70,000), and possess excellent leadership skills, an ability to persevere through difficult circumstances, and a strong interest in and commitment to their community

Award amount: up to $5,000 per year, for 4 years

Dr. Juan Andrade Jr. Scholarship for Young Hispanic Leaders

Deadline: November 30, 2020

For: high school seniors who will be enrolling full-time in an accredited two-or-four year institution for the Fall 2021-Spring 2022 academic year.  At least one parent must be of Hispanic ancestry and demonstrate a need for financial support.

Award amount: $1,000 for a 4-year institution or $500 for a 2-year institution.

Zombie Apocalypse Scholarship

Deadline: October 31, 2020

For: Students age 13 and older who will be enrolling in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education. Submit an online response to the following question: "Imagine that your high school or college has been overrun with zombies. Your math professor, the cafeteria ladies, and even your best friend have all joined the walking dead. Flesh out a plan to avoid the zombies, including where you’d hide and the top-five things you’d bring to stay alive." (250 words or less)

AvaCare Medical Scholarship

Deadline: December 15, 2020

For: High school seniors with a minimum 3.0 GPA who are pursuing a degree in the medical field.  This scholarship is awarded annually to one submission that tells about an inspiring act of kindness.

Medical Scrubs Collection Scholarship

Deadline: December 15, 2020

For: High school seniors with a minimum 3.0 GPA who are pursuing a degree in the medical field such as therapy, nursing, medicine, nutrition, laboratory science, dentistry, etc.

Burger King Scholars Award

Deadline: When 50,000 applications have been submitted

For: High school seniors who have a GPA 2.5 or higher.  Candidates academic record, and participation in school and community activities are considered.

Denny’s “Hungry for Education” Scholarship Awards

Deadline: Varies by cooperating organization beginning December 2, 2019

For: High school students.   Awards deserving students with scholarships for their ideas to help Denny's efforts to fight childhood hunger.

National Space Club Keynote Scholar Award

For: High school students planning to major in a STEM field & must create a video and deliver a speech on the topic of space travel and/or space exploration.

The John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award

For: High school students will have to submit a 1,000 word essay, describing an act of political courage by an elected US official who served during or after 1917.

McDonald’s Hacer National Scholarship  (scholarship opens October 5th)
