• Hall Of Fame Criteria

    Annually, the Hall of Fame seeks to honor alumni and retired staff members who are noted for high levels of achievement in his/her field of endeavor and who make significant contributions to that field. These honored alumni and staff are people who exemplify the tradition of excellence that is fostered at Evergreen Park Community High School. This program of recognition will reinforce to the students of Evergreen Park Community High School the importance of a sound educational foundation.

    Criteria:Nominees should have graduated from Evergreen Park Community High School at least 10 years prior to nomination or retired from service at least 3 years prior to nomination.

    A nominee has been recognized by his/her peers for a high level of achievement in his/her field and made significant contributions to that field at the state, national, and/or international levels.

    A nominee has demonstrated leadership, character, and service by sharing his/her expertise at the community, state, or national initiatives.

    Selection: A selection committee made up of at least but not limited to one school administrator, one foundation executive board member, one foundation alumni committee member, one faculty member, and one district administrator will select inductees for the Hall of Fame.

    Procedure: The procedure and nomination form for nominating alumni/retirees for the Hall of Fame will be published on the school Web site and in newsletters sent to alumni and retired staff. Individuals included in the school’s alumni/retiree database will be informed by e-mail. A press release will be sent to the local papers.

    According to criteria stated above anyone may submit a completed nomination form for consideration, whether or not you attended EPCHS. Alumni/retirees cannot nominate themselves. Posthumous nominations will be accepted.

    The selection committee will meet and review all nominations. The selection committee will choose up to two candidates each year for induction to the Hall of Fame. Nominations will be kept on file and reconsidered for the next two years. After three years, a candidate must be re-nominated for consideration.

    Induction: Inductees will be introduced to the students and staff during a special ceremony at homecoming or another significant school celebration. At the induction ceremony, he/she will be presented with a distinctive
    award.

    Display: A display that identifies the inductee and their achievements will be placed in an appropriate location in the school.
