The Evergreen Park Public Library and the Evergreen Park Community high school have worked in collaboration to develop a project called, ""Reading Around the Park,"" which is intended to promote an enthusiasm for reading within the community. The ""Reading Around the Park"" program is funded by an LSTA (Library Services and Technical Act) Grant. The funds from LSTA grant have been used to purchase books to be distributed at the Evergreen Park Public Library, the Evergreen Park schools, and other places throughout the community. The grant funds are also being used to pay for an author's visiting and workshop fees. |
