April 20th

*Attention Graduating Seniors:  As the countdown to graduation begins have you thought about all of the great things that your class has accomplished over the past four years at EPCHS?   Now is your chance to share those thoughts with family and friends.  Tryouts for the “Second Graduation Speech” student speaker will take place on Monday, April 30 beginning at 3:00pm in the Lecture Room.  Stop by the Principals office to sign up for an audition time and pick up a guideline packet.  This is your chance to leave your legacy.  All graduating seniors are eligible & welcome to tryout. 

*A new store coming to Evergreen Park, Goodwill is hosting a Job Fair today & tomorrow. See the job board for details. 

*Attention all current freshman, sophomores, & juniors, the Stampede Summer Scholarship application is available in counseling located on the scholarship wall. Stop to pickup an application.

*A reminder that the Food Drive is under way.  Bring in non-perishable food items to your 1st block class between now & Friday, April 27th. All items will be donated to the Evergreen Park Food Pantry.

*Cheerleading Tryouts will begin on Tuesday, April 24th from 7:30p-9:30p in the Large Gym.  Please see Coach Mayo with any questions.*Are you creative? Do you like painting? Do you want to leave your mark on the School? The Art Department is looking for Senior’s interest in creating the 17-18 legacy mural. Applications are due to Mrs.McArthur in Room 142 today.

*Members of the Art Club & the International Club, please return your permission letters to attend the field trip for Thursday, April 26th, to Mrs. Safranek or Mrs. Shields by Tuesday, April 24th.

*Attention Senior Athletes – letters were distributed to those senior athletes who have earned 5 or more Varsity letters during their time at EPCHS, if you believe you should have received a letter see Mr. Soldan in the Athletic Office by the end of the day.

*Registration for the Summer Driver Education program is April 24 - April 27 from 7:30am – 3pm.  Students MUST be 15.

* sure to get tutoring help during all lunches in the Leadership Room on Mondays and Thursdays if you need to bring up your grades.

*Congrats to the Varsity softball team for defeating Reavis yesterday 3-2. Kelly Farmer earned the win in the circle, and Hannah Ortell got 3 hits and scored 2 runs. Way to go Mustangs.

*Congratulations to girls soccer with their victory over Richards 2-0” girls fresh soph played to a hard fought 0-0 tie. Great job girls.

*The JV softball team increased their record to 7-0 yesterday defeating Reavis 11 to 1. Laci threw a gem from the mound & Emily Zurella hit a 3 run homer to put the mustangs ahead early in the game.
