Hall of Fame
|
Annually the Hall of Fame seeks to honor alumni and retired staff members who are noted for high levels of achievement in his/her field of endeavor and who make significant contributions to that field. These honored alumni and staff are people who exemplify the tradition of excellence fostered at Evergreen Park Community High School. This program of recognition will reinforce to the students of Evergreen Park Community High School the importance of a sound educational foundation.

• Inducted into the Illinois Wrestling Coaches & Officials Association in 1977
• Grand Marshal of the 1986 Wrestling Tournament
• Inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, Illinois Chapter in 2002 |

• Worked overseas doing missionary work from 1984-1994
• Served as a school nurse in Appalachian Kentucky from 1994-2005
• Volunteered for the Sisters of Charity Soup Kitchen in Chicago, Illinois
• Active Volunteer at the First United Methodist Church of Evergreen Park |

• Highly acclaimed expert in the field of infectious diseases
• Written & had published dozens of articles on diseases and immunizations |

| Robert Charles Howe |

• Graduate of the EPCHS Class of 1971
• At the age of 17, entered and won a Norman Rockwell paint-alike contest for the
Saturday Evening Post
• Illustrated seven covers for the Saturday Evening Post
• Had a successful career as an artist and illustrator, despite diabetes and severe vision loss
• He passed away in 2002 at the age of 48 from complications of diabetes |
